Arc Raiders' FlashPoint update includes a host of new content, including a brand-new map, a new enemy called Vaporizer, new weapons Canto and Dolabra, a new action called Close Scrutiny, and a new project: High-Gain Antenna Player Project.
Here, I'll explain this new project in detail. High-Gain Antenna, as its name suggests, offers substantial rewards upon completion. So what exactly is this project, what are the rewards, and how do you complete it? I'll answer all your questions below.
High-Gain Antenna
Celeste and Shani need to build a ground surveillance system to monitor ARCs' movements, and your task is to provide them with the necessary materials. The construction of High-Gain Antenna consists of three stages: Sturdy Base, Data Logger, and Parabolic Dish.
Each stage requires four different materials, obtained in different ways and from different locations, making this mission quite challenging. Fortunately, completing each stage will reward you with substantial rewards.
Upon completion of all construction tasks, you will receive a total of up to 500 Raider Tokens and many high-rarity ARC Raiders Items.
Stage Tasks
Sturdy Base
- 50 Arc Alloys
- 10 Arc Flex Rubbers
- 10 Arc Performance Steels
- 15 Advanced Arc Powercells
Arc Alloys are the easiest to obtain, dropping from any ARC patrol, making them the most plentiful. Arc Flex Rubbers, Arc Performance Steels, and Advanced Arc Powercells all drop from high-tier Arcs.
Bastions, Bombardiers, Leapers, and Sentinels Arcs have a chance to drop all three materials simultaneously, so selectively attacking Arcs is recommended if you want to complete the first stage's material collection quickly.
Alternatively, you can choose to collect all the materials needed for the remaining stages from them all at once. This guide already lists all ARC Raiders materials required for each stage, significantly saving you construction time.
Completion Rewards:
- 1 Torrente 2
- 1 Extended Medium Mag 3
- 1 Extended Barrel
- 1 Padded Stock
Data Logger
- 15 ARC Thermo Liners
- 15 ARC Coolants
- 4 Vaporizer Regulators
- 6 Assessor Matrix
The materials required for Phase 2 construction are significantly more difficult to collect compared to Phase 1. ARC Thermo Liners and ARC Coolants can be obtained from mid-tier Arcs, but Vaporizer Regulators can only be obtained as drops from Vaporizers.
Vaporizers are a new flying ARC enemy added in this FlashPoint update. They usually appear in groups, and defeating them to collect the materials needed for Phase 2 construction requires equipping weapons specifically designed to counter Vaporizers.
The new weapons Canto and Dolabra introduced in this update are the most suitable weapons for dealing with Vaporizers and Assessors.
Assessor Matrix can only be obtained by completing Assessor stages. Assessors only land on the map after Close Scrutiny operation is activated. They are surrounded by Vaporizers and ARC patrols who will attack you upon approaching.
It's worth noting that Close Scrutiny operation only appears on four maps: Dam Battlegrounds, Blue Gate, Spaceport, and Buried City. Therefore, you need to pay attention to your map selection when collecting materials.
Completion Rewards:
- 1 Bobcat3
- 1 Extended Light Mag3
- 1 Vertical Grip3
- 100 Radier Tokens
Parabolic Dish
- 10 Surveyor Vaults
- 20 ARC Synthetic Resin
- 15 Vaporizer Regulators
- 18 Assessor Martrix
Compared to the amount of materials needed for the second phase, you will need to defeat more Vaporizers and Assessors.
Aside from Synthetic Resin, which can be obtained from rare ARCs like Sentinels, Shredders, Snitches, and Spotters, the other three require Close Scrutiny operation. The danger of gathering materials increases again.
Completion Rewards:
- 1 Vita Spray
- 1 Photoelectric Cloak
- 1 Snap Hook
- 400 Raider Tokens
The rewards for completing the collection are proportional to its danger. The rewards for completing the third phase are very generous, including 400 Raider Tokens and the extremely rare Photoelectric Cloak, an ARC Raider item. Photoelectric Cloak allows you to remain hidden, preventing enemy detection while you move or search for supplies.
Best Strategy
Materials for the first phase can be quickly gathered in any instance. However, the subsequent two phases require Close Scrutiny operation. While Close Scrutiny operation is active, you can prioritize gathering materials for the second and third phases.
To better counter Vaporizers and Assessors, you should carry weapons capable of sustained combat and dealing area-of-effect damage, such as Dolabra. For defense, heavy armor is highly recommended. Remember to immediately store any rare materials you collect in a safe pocket to prevent them from being stolen or dropped.
When gathering materials during Operation Close Scrutiny, Buried City is the best choice, as it has numerous buildings that provide cover for your battles with Vaporizers, allow you to avoid attacks and heal.
Estimated End Time
The official end date for the event hasn't been given, but I predict it will probably end abruptly, similar to the previous event. Even so, High-Gain Antenna Player Project will probably remain for at least a month before ending, so you should complete as much of this project as possible to maximize your rewards.
Overall, High-Gain Antenna Player Project is a high-risk, high-reward endeavor. Collecting materials and completing construction not only grants your completion rewards but also offers a chance to find other rare equipment, such as weapon blueprints. Before you embark on your mission, please read this action guide prepared for you; it may be the key to your success.
