Arc Raiders Update: Discover the Full Cross - Collab Surprises, 1.23.0 Patch Notes, and Riven Tides

Arc Raiders has recently seen a series of dynamic updates and community interactions. From cross-industry collaborations with wildlife sanctuaries to patch adjustments, these moves indicate that Arc Raiders is trying to expand its influence through unconventional methods while maintaining its existing player base.

In future Arc Raiders updates, cosmetic and functional items will always be a focus for players. The addition of items that utilize rope physics or counter new enemy types is particularly anticipated.

Because the types and acquisition methods of Arc Raiders items profoundly influence players' personalization and tactical combinations, every adjustment the development team makes to the shop and item design sparks community discussion.Arc Raiders Update: Discover the Full Cross - Collab Surprises, 1.23.0 Patch Notes, and Riven Tides

Cross-Industry Collaboration and 24-Hour Livestream Event

A cross-industry collaboration event with a real-world wildlife sanctuary is scheduled to launch on April 8, 2026. The game development team has partnered with Alva's, a non-profit animal sanctuary.

Starting April 8th, a 24-hour livestream will be streamed on Twitch, featuring footage styled like a live animal camera, with a special segment focusing on a rooster named Oliver.

The livestream may include interactive segments, where viewers might see the in-game character Scrappy running and Oliver being fed in real life, synchronized. The aim of this collaboration is to combine the virtual rooster companion from the game with real animal conservation efforts, raising public awareness of wildlife sanctuaries entertainingly.

The livestream start time varies by time zone, the correct times have been posted on Discord announcement page: 12:00 PM Central Time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time, and 10:00 AM Pacific Time. This event is not only a promotion of the game content but also has a charitable aspect, raising awareness and potential donations for the sanctuary through interaction and promotion during the livestream.

Patch 1.23.0 Update

The 1.23.0 patch, originally scheduled for release one morning, has been delayed. Community Manager Embark Osen announced that the patch will be released at 4:00 AM Central Time the following day.

The specific release times are: 9:00 AM UTC, 5:00 AM EST, 4:00 AM Central Time, and 2:00 AM PST. This update includes a highly anticipated Vanguard skin set, as well as several bug fixes.

Images of this skin set have already leaked, showing a military-style aesthetic. It will be available in the in-game store simultaneously with the patch release. For players who enjoy collecting cosmetic Arc Raiders Items, Vanguard skin set is a timely response to expanding their arsenal's style options.

In addition to the skin set, the patch also includes a series of technical fixes, specifically addressing game stability, UI display errors, and balance adjustments for some character abilities. The reason for the patch delay was not specified in the announcement, but the development team provided advance notice of the new release date so players could make necessary arrangements.

GDC Developer New Feature Concept

At the recently concluded Game Developers Conference, a team member revealed a new feature concept they hope to add to the game. The concept is inspired by a classic scene from Battle of Hoth in Star Wars films - flying motorcycles using ropes to entangle and trip enemies.

The developers hope to introduce similar physical interactions into the game, such as using ropes to pull the legs of large enemies or tripping them with wires. This mechanism could potentially be applied to Queen, Matriarch, and other large Arcs in the game.

The developers stated that implementing this feature requires better rope physics. While the game already boasts a fairly excellent physics engine - for example, realistic collisions between characters and environmental objects, and projectile trajectory calculations - the design team believes that this mechanism does not currently align with the game's overall vision.

The current combat design focuses more on shooting and teamwork; introducing a tripping mechanic could alter the combat pace and difficulty curve. Therefore, this feature is not yet confirmed for inclusion, but it may still be considered in the future.

Riven Tides Major Update Confirmed

The community manager has confirmed the upcoming major update, Riven Tides. When players inquired on Discord in April update's release date, Embark Osen replied that it's scheduled for the end of the month. This aligns with the release schedule of previous roadmap updates, as major updates have typically been pushed out at the end of the month.

This update will bring a brand new map called Ribbon Science, the first new map in approximately five months since the release of Stella Montis last November. The map features a coastal terrain theme and includes a new type of large Arc enemy. This enemy has briefly appeared in trailers and some art book materials, but its specific type is still unclear.

Based on existing materials, the new enemy's size and attack patterns may differ from the existing Queen or Matriarch, promising new combat challenges. This update will also unlock the Third Expedition Windows, providing a character reset opportunity, allowing high-level players to readjust their strategies.

Community Feedback and Anomalies

First, regarding the changes to Rocketeer, many players expressed that this change was not what they expected, and the development team did not provide any prior announcement. Some believe this may be a programming bug rather than an intentional adjustment. Players hope this issue will be fixed in patch 1.23.

Second, regarding the visual error in weapon level display, multiple players reported seeing level 5 weapons in the game and successfully reproduced the phenomenon. Some players even shared methods in the comments for accidentally triggering the level 5 weapon display. In reality, this display does not correspond to any actual weapon upgrade effect; it is purely a display error. The highest weapon level in the game is usually level 4, and the appearance of level 5 is likely because of an anomaly in the interface rendering or data loading process.

Despite this, players are still compiling a list of weapons that might exhibit this visual issue so that the development team can pinpoint the specific cause. Another community discovery involves a specific location on the game map. One player noticed a location labeled Arnold's Vault at the end of a windy area on the map. As of now, this location has not been officially documented or thoroughly investigated by anyone. Other players have also pointed out some previously unnoticed map details, which require further investigation.

These details may hint at future hidden content or Easter eggs, or they may represent areas in the map design that have not yet been widely explored by players. Community members are gathering relevant information, hoping to receive official clarification in future updates.

Arc Raiders will be receiving a flurry of content updates and community events in mid-to-late April. From cross-platform livestreams, new Arc Raiders Items, version patches, to the implementation of new maps and new Arcs, the development team is working on multiple fronts. Meanwhile, the physics interaction concepts revealed at GDC and the unusual issues reported by the community have left some questions unanswered regarding future updates. Whether Arc Raiders can continue to optimize the player experience through these adjustments will be further verified after Riven Tides update at the end of the month.

I'm always keen to share what happens when I play games and a little bit of my humble opinion on games of all kinds. I am super happy to discuss the gameplay and mechanics of related games and more with you.
