Released in May 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign cleverly combines the original highly challenging but rewarding combat system in Elden Ring with an enhanced exploration experience and procedurally generated Roguelike adventure mode, giving players who love both types of games a brand new experience.
In this game, the developers added some World Events to increase the fun of players’ exploration. Their appearance means that this map has some unexpected and very dangerous new elements. Some of these events will appear when you just start exploring, and they may be triggered suddenly in the middle and late stages.
Like the items you can collect in Elden Ring Nightreign, World Events also have a level of rarity. Players have the least chance of encountering rare World Events, and may not encounter one in hundreds of hours, but the generous rewards provided to you make many players yearn for it.

1. Flame Of Frenzy
First up is Flame of Frenzy, which is a popular item that players have been asking for. When this event starts, you’ll notice a giant frenzy eye appearing above a broken tower on the map, which will cause many frenzy villagers to damage you.
Not only that, when this frenzy eye appears in its sights on you, you’ll take stacking frenzy damage. So you might want to avoid it as much as possible and use some of the terrain on this map, as they’ll interrupt your ranged attacks.
In this case, you need to kill all the villagers who are frenzying near the tower, which will cause the frenzy eye to disappear and drop a Dormant Power, a buff that grants you Frenzy Weapons, such as Frenzied Flame Seal or Vyke’s War Spear, both of which will make you stronger against beasts.
2. Meteor Strike
At the start of Meteor Strike, you’ll see a red marker on your map, indicating that a rare World Event is taking place there. Following this red marker will lead you to a Fallingstar Beast boss, the same boss you encounter in Crater during Shifting Earth event.
The boss’s combat style is identical in both events, focusing on using gravity and frontal attacks. So during this encounter, you can use some skills or gear to briefly reverse gravity so that the boss can crash into some pillars and use its high mobility and high damage to finish the fight.
Like most rare World Events, defeating Fallingstar Beast will also reward you with a Dormant Power, which will remain at epic rarity, providing the ultimate buff to your subsequent epic rarity weapons.

3. Wandering Mausoleum
If you are a loyal player of this soul-like game, you will definitely be familiar with Wandering Mausoleum, but the specific mechanism has changed in Elden Ring Nightreign. When Wandering Mausoleum appears, there is still a mark on the map, and you need to climb to enter the mausoleum it marks.
In this mausoleum, you can copy any weapon you have at will, so you should upgrade your dual-wield weapons to the highest level before entering this event to maximize damage and defense capabilities. Or you can make extra copies of some powerful weapons in it for your allies to share.
By the way, this weapon copying function will also appear in Noklateo, the Shrouded City in Shifting Earth Event, but they are hidden in a small path that players often ignore, and it may be a bit difficult to find. The sign of completing Wandering Mausoleum is that you have cleared all the evil spirits in the mausoleum and escaped safely.
4. Scale-Bearing Merchant
Compared to the previous ones, Scale-Bearing Merchant is a rare World Event but has a higher chance of appearing. If you see a hooded NPC appear in your sight during exploration, it means that this event will occur here.
This NPC will offer a variety of trades to each player, but each one comes with a pro and con. Or you can just attack the merchant, who will transform into an Equilibrious Beast and start a boss encounter for you.
Also, after you defeat it, you will gain a Dormant Power and some Runes. It is worth noting that this Scale-Bearing Merchant event has a variant in Elden Ring Nightreign called Curse of the Demon.
In this invasion, the merchant will use different attacks in combat and can apply a debuff that reduces maximum health. However, you can remove this debuff and replace it with a unique buff by paying 15,000 Runes (first day) or 30,000 Runes (second day).
If you are lucky, the merchant will then offer you a new deal without you having to pay any other fees. The advice here is of course to remove the debuff before continuing to explore, but if your build has enough maximum health, you can ignore it.
