Genshin Impact's Luna Chapter is currently at Luna 2, and the storyline of characters from all over joining forces to fight Rerir is very exciting. Many players are probably already looking forward to the upcoming storyline and the new Nod-Krai map.
According to current information, Luna 3 only has new story content, not a new map, which may disappoint some players who enjoy exploring new maps.
However, according to leaks, Genshin Impact v6.3 will have many surprises waiting for you: new story content, new maps, and the annual Lantern Rite. Let's take a look.
New Characters
A leaker revealed that Impact v6.3 will feature three new characters: Columbina, Zibai, and Illuga. Currently, apart from Columbina, the other two have not yet officially appeared in the storyline. This is indeed very exciting.
Columbina
Columbina, formerly Fatui Harbingers Damselette and now Moon Maiden, is a familiar character, having appeared in the interlude PV Night Fool's Play several years ago. She officially debuted in the storyline A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves.
In version 6.3, she may be added to the limited-time Event Wishes as a playable character. As a Moon Goddess, Columbina is expected to be a Hydro user and a core character for Lunar reactions.
Regarding Columbina's role, it's anticipated to be similar to Furina's, providing a significant Lunar reaction damage boost while also possessing considerable output capability.
Nod-Krai's two existing Lunar reaction teams, Nefer Lunar-Bloom and Flins Lunar-Charged, both lack a five-star character with a wide-range constant Hydro application. Therefore, Columbina could very well fill this gap.
Additionally, following Genshin's usual pattern, Columbina may also need to unlock Constellation 2 to experience a significant power spike, so Travelers eager to enjoy Nod-Krai version should prepare their Genesis Crystals early.
Zibai
Information about Zibai and Illuga is currently limited. Both are expected to be Geo users and could potentially form a Lunar-Crystallize reaction team.
Zibai, also known as White Horse Adeptus, is a Liyue character. Lantern Rite event storyline this year is likely to revolve around him.
Liyue characters are generally well-developed, such as Xianyun in Impact 4.4 and Lan Yan in Impact 5.4. Therefore, this new five-star character is worth anticipating.
Illuga
Illuga, mentioned by Varka and Flins, is also a Lightkeeper. Current leaks suggest she is a four-star Polearm character who can provide some buffs to Lunar-Crystallize reaction.
However, since he's not a Liyue 4-star character, he cannot be obtained through Lantern Rete 4-Star selector.
These are the new characters who might appear in the limited-time Event Wishes in Luna 4. You can create a simple gacha plan based on your existing characters.
However, I strongly recommend that players who want to play Lunar Reaction pull for Columbina. Even at Constellation 0, her strength won't be low.
Players who want to play Lunar-Crystallize system or don't have a strong Geo character in their roster can pull for Zibai. Building a team specifically to adapt to the favorable Geo environment in Spiral Abyss is also a good option.
New Map
Currently, Nod-Krai has three islands open, but more than a version has passed, and most players have probably already explored them. Luna 3 also doesn't have a new map, which might bore many players.
However, according to leaks, Luna 4 will have a new map consisting of three islands. The eastern and southern islands are very close, while the northwestern island is more remote and likely requires some special access. It appears to be larger than the current Nod-Krai map.
The southern island is the largest and appears to have diverse terrain, including mountains, beaches, and even a mysterious meteorite crater. The other two islands are covered in greenery, especially the northwestern island, whose style differs significantly from the existing Nod-Krai islands.
It's currently uncertain whether this is a new area within Nod-Krai. Regardless, the opening of a new map means we can explore more areas, enjoy more scenery, and obtain more Primogems, which is something to look forward to.
Other Predicted Information
Besides new characters and events, some future information is also intriguing.
Regarding Lantern Rite, as in previous years, in addition to a free four-star Liyue character event, there will also be two new costumes.
The five-star character costume might be Neuvillette, priced at 1350 Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals during the event. The four-star character costume might be Chongyun, obtainable for free by completing the event.
Regarding other map areas, one is Liyue Blackcliff Forge, but there's no confirmed news in the short term. To be honest, I'm really curious about Blackcliff Forge's story; it's so mysterious.
Another is Mondstadt Dornman Port, which current leaks suggest might be a route to Snezhnaya. If so, perhaps we can unlock this area next year.
Genshin Impact v6.3 should be the most important part of the entire Impact's Luna Chapter. After the lull of Luna 2 and 3, Luna 4 will definitely have a wealth of content.
