Which Class Is Right For You In Path Of Exile 2? - All Available Classes Explained

Introduction To 6 Classes In Early Access

Sorceress

Sorceress’s strength is attack, and her weakness is defense. She uses her staff to unleash elemental magic: fire, ice, and lightning damage. Fire burns and lightning penetrates to damage enemies, while ice freezes them in place. Although these elemental destruction are used in different game strategies, they all have one thing in common: they are all applicable to range combat.

Witch

Like Sorceress, Witch is also a class that can use spells, but her spells focus on summoning. She can summon a group of undead minions for group combat through Necromancy, and can select undead army on the Skill Gems menu to flexibly choose the deployment of troops according to the combat strategy.

The number of Spirits determines the quality of Witch’s army, so Witch is the most in need of Spirit, a powerful resource among all classes. In addition, when the army is fighting, the enemy is likely to be infected by the infections spread by the army.

Monk

As a melee class, Monk is good at scaling damage through dexterity and Intelligence. The combination of his melee play style and powerful spell attacks always brings some different gameplay to players. Monk’s damage types are mainly lightning, ice, and wind. His diverse play style allows him to switch between melee and ranged at will to ensure that he can cross the battlefield in the shortest time and increase the damage range.

What is more worth mentioning is Monk’s elemental damage. He can always accurately lock the target and strike the enemy with a powerful blow, which is fatal!

Ranger

Ranger’s weapons are bow and arrow. This profession has a variety of styles, and both close combat and long-range combat are her specialties. Her distinctive feature is to use Elemental-Infused Arrows to defeat the enemy, such as Lightning Arrow, Vine Arrow or Poisonburst Arrow.

At the same time, AOE skills also make Ranger’s combat power even more powerful. When she is trapped by the enemy, she can use Backflip to break free from the enemy’s entanglement. It is worth noting that she can still shoot arrows when she is galloping on the battlefield, not limited to a stationary state.

Warrior

If you are good at tanking and melee combat, then Warrior is undoubtedly your best choice. Although his movement speed is not as fast as other classes, his attack power should not be underestimated. At the same time, his attack power is related to strength.

When facing the invasion of many enemies, he can use War Cries and One and Two-Handed Melee Weapons to launch an attack, such as Maces and Clubs. While attacking, Warrior also protects himself by triggering Shield skills or raising Protective Armor.

Mercenary

Mercenary’s design adds the creative concept of Shooter-Style Gameplay. Assault rifle, Shotgun, or Sniper can all be used as weapons of this class to participate in the battle and defeat the enemy. Of course, it is not enough to just use these weapons to defeat the enemy. He can also use Ammo to bombard the enemy and Fire Abilities to penetrate the enemy.

At the same time, Crossbow Attachments and Grenades also add luster to it in battle. You should know that Mercenary’s skills are diverse, and you can use different skill combinations in combination with the actual battle situation to shine in the game.

Remaining Classes In Full Release

Next, we will introduce the remaining 6 classes in the full release.

Shadow

This is a cunning class that may be difficult for ordinary players to control. He uses traps to trap the enemy and take the opportunity to enter and exit the battlefield. He usually shuttles in the shadows and takes out Daggers to assassinate the enemy when he is not prepared.

It is not difficult to find that Shadow is like a bandit, often using treacherous means to obtain PoE2 Currency or Spirit required for the game.

Huntress

The Huntress class is inseparable from agility. Like Ranger, she is also in the Passive Skill Tree. Agility and speed allow her to flexibly use Spear to pierce the enemy’s body and avoid Encounters in combat. Whether in close or medium-range attacks, Damage, Speed, and AoE Abilities always allow her to assassinate the enemy swiftly in war.

Templar

Templar is a profession based on Strength and Intelligence. Odd mix makes him a skilled killer in war, while Melee and Magic also make his fighting style changeable. Obviously, this is a very friendly class for beginners. For players who choose Templar, you can invest in defense with PoE2 Currency to enhance resistance against tight defense.

Druid

Strength and Intelligence are inseparable from Druid’s combat power. This is an interesting class because he can switch his form during battle. He can use strategies such as transforming into Human Form to cast spells to harm enemies, or transform into Animal Form such as Bear to attack a large number of monsters.

Marauder

Whether facing single targets or in Sweeping Attacks, Marauder always uses a combination of One-Handed Weapons to bring extremely deterrent attacks to the enemy. He often uses Rally Cries to scare the enemy and uses Shields to protect himself. At the same time, this is also a class related to Strength, which brings heavy blows to the enemy every time he goes into battle.

Duelist

Swords and Axes can provide Duelist with effective protection and efficient attack, and are his most proficient and frequently used weapons. His power and speed in attacking enemies are inseparable from the two attributes of Dexterity and Strength. Increasing power and speed can speed up the process of Duelist killing bosses, and obtain more POE 2 Exalted Orbs to complete a better character build.
